A day without sunshine is like, you know, night - Steve Martin

Hello! In my previous, rather gloomy post I promised to show you genuine springlike photographs and the ones you're going to see descend mostly from last Sunday. Our little family had a barbecue at my grandparents' place and it's safe to say it was the warmest day this year. And of course the yummy food tasted oh so good! If I had the chance I would eat outside all spring and summer long because I just love fresh salads and barbecued chicken, potatoes, sausages, shashlik, even bread and zucchini. Obviously summer is my all-time favourite season and to be honest I would liquidate our cold Estonian winter if I only had the chance. What is your favourite season and why?

Now on a completely different subject: on the 26th I did some thrifting together with my workmate during our lunch break and I was quite successful, to be honest. So, my catch included a beautiful Italian shawl (0,50.- euros), pastel pink pants from Pimkie (1.- euro; and there is a possibility I'm going to transform them into shorts but we'll see..) and a summery polka dotted short dress/tunic from atmosphere (1,75.- euros; you're going to see it when I wear it). All in all I got three items for only 3,25.- euros and I'm SO ready for some time-proof warm weather! Well, and I'm still in love with thrifting which is a good thing, I guess.

Anyhow, I hope you like the sunny photos, and as you can see, the long-awaited sunshine has finally arrived in Estonia, yay!

  8. Glad to see some lovely Spring photos! The last one is beautiful :) I love the pink jeans with the little bow sew on - such a lovely colour, cannot wait to see them in an outfit. Cannot believe they were thrifted, I think they would look great as shorts or jeans! Glad to see that the weather had warmed up for you! I love all of the seasons. Spring and Summer because it is beautifully warm, the Autumn looks stunning where I live and Winter is my favourite time for Fashion :) Layers, scarves and boots!

    Great post!

Anyway, there are only two seasons in my country, hot and rainy season. I prefer the rainy season since it's quite cool. =)

  11. I like the iris photos! Summer is also my favorite season. It's probably because I started my life in the Philippines where it's always warm and then moved to cold, damp Seattle later. I'm cold most of the year, so I just love when the sun comes out! That Steve Martin quote cracks me up- one of my favorites!

  20. OMG the pictures of the flowers and the strawberries I love!! Spring must be a beautiful season, here we only have summer (and short rain season and a very short season where it's barely cold) so I don't have many choices when it comes to choose my favorite season haha. I love summer and the fact of being bare legs but I would like winter here though.
Btw the pants are super cute, I hope to find this color too :D

  22. Aw Im so glad summer has finally arrived for you,you took some beautiul photographs, the flowers are so bright and beautiful.
One of the best things about summer is BBQ's and chilling outside, thats why summer is my favourtie too,it seems so much more laid back time of year, cos you can just go outside and chill all day,go for walks knowing its sunny and not cold and wet.
Hope you had a lovely sunny weekend this week.Sorry I hadnt popped by your blog all week x

  56. What a contrast from your winter photos! It looks like Estonia is a truly beautiful place, especially during the spring time - those blue flowers are absolutely stunning :) If I had to choose a favourite season, it would probably be autumn. All of my favourite vegetables are in season, it's cool enough to wear my favourite sweaters and my birthday comes!
