...like nothing can save you.

Sveiks, my lovely readers! This time my greetings are in Latvian because before travelling to Czech Republic I and E. will possibly take a trip to one of the adjoining states of Estonia - Latvia. But this is enough exposure for only one post and we'll see everything when the right time comes.

So, my gloomy photos originate from the 14th of April when after all I came across a decent folding bed for the (hopefully one fine day) arriving sunbathing season. Luckily hopelessness didn't hit me and now I'm more than ready for all the hot sunshine sneaking towards Estonia.
Anyway, I also found fabulous new curtains for our kitchen which means I can finally give up the old ones descending from the holy Christmas time, so yay! Oh, and while grocery shopping I obviously got Teen Vogue April 2012 which has Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson sparkling on the cover. Now I can't wait for the spare time to have my breezy magazine minutes. When I feel like purchasing a magazine I almost all the time choose Teen Vogue because it's small enough to read through (and place in my handbag). Unfortunately finding time for full-size magazines seems not far from impossible.

By the way, the location for my photos was a creepy one...
many years ago a lumberman committed suicide in front of that fireplace. He shot himself. Luckily I'm not superstitious or chicken when it comes to scary incidents like that. What about you, guys?
But actually I only wanted to present some of my freshest thrifted finds: H&M leggings (possibly 1,75.- euros) and a sweater made of three different techniques (free!). So, after all that talk I hope you enjoy the photos and of course do share your interesting views with me!

I was wearing: jacket - Reflex /thrifted/; sweater - /thrifted/; button up blouse - Martinelli /thrifted/; leggings - H&M /thrifted/; boots - Sempre.

  1. See legginsi find on ikka liiga hea.

  3. I love the military jacket and the mustard shirt - it's funny, I've been so obsessed with mustard hues of late! ;) As the previous person who commented so eloquently expressed, the backdrop of your outfit post is so lovely in that eerie kind of way and it really adds to evoking the mood of your outfit and your poses! Love!

Haha, and thank you for your sweet comment! I'm pretty glad I found the perfect white shirt too. ;)

  11. Nice leggings & jacket. I love that you make such great thrift finds, similar to me indeed hehe.

That's a creepy place indeed, but in a cool way. In places like that you can get great shots! But one time my friend wanted to go to a place slightly like that, but not anyones old house, it was a storage of some sort.. To take photos of my sister for some project. I got in first and tried to open the bigger back door for my friends, when I suddenly noticed something on my right side.. There was a sofa, and someones shoes.. Oh my, there's a man lying there! That creeped me out so badly and we ran off first, but then called ambulance in case there was something wrong with him.. Nope, he was just drunk. :)

My mum came back from Prague yesterday and again I'm going to show some souvenirs soon (I'm a bit jealous that she gets to travel all the time, but on the other hand, until she was 50 she had been to only like 3-4 places outside Finland. I'll have my chances too.^^)

Thank you for the comment! You're so sweet.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.

  13. I love your jacket and your jumper - the sleeves are so cute! :) I am a bit superstitious, well I mean not totally but I don't think I could sleep in a room someone committed suicide in or anything :-/ I guess it's more my overactive imagination though than anything! xx

  17. You're so right, I have loads of stuff - too much to be exact. :) It would be ok if I used everything, but there's two Ikea-bags full on stuff I don't want anymore / don't fit, to be photographed and sold on the "blog shop" I've talked about for months - that's a huge project and I need to find spare time to do that properly. :)

Thanks again for the comment & let's be in touch,
    have a lovely weekend

  20. Hello dearie,
Finally I have time to write you. Sorry if you wonder why.. I never forget you for sure. :)
    Wedding is finally over :)
    Now I feel so relieved.

You did great with this 'spooky' location. It always works when shooting when such abandoned locations. As in, pictures always turn out differently. The poses are different this time. And I love it more. especially the black n white one. I never become superstitious at such places but it can creep me a little when there's total silence. So quiet that u can hear a tiny twig breaking.

Latvia..sounds exotic. I ve met people from Estonia...and they are always so friendly..i believe the place will be lovely too. :) Enjoy urself dear. <3

In fact, I have a weird fascination with cemeteries and growing up my friends and I used to have parties at an abandoned insane asylum?! Although now I think back...that's disgusting! ha!
