Prague: day 1

Bonjour! Without further ado here comes our first day (or actually evening) in Prague, Czech Republic.
So, after eating some yummy french fries at Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport we flew with Czech Airlines and the flight took less than two hours. Our driver (we used Prague Airport Transfers Ltd.) was waiting for us in the arrival hall of Ruzyne International Airport and he drove us to Park Inn Hotel Prague****. Our hotel was housed in an historic building dating to 1907, surrounded by charming medieval buildings, ancient courtyards and cobblestone streets.

Our first night in Prague included a nice walk by the side of the Vltava River which is the longest (430 km) river in the Czech Republic. The river is crossed by 18 bridges (including  the famous Charles Bridge) as it runs through Prague but I'm going to tell you about the Vltava River and the ravishing Charles Bridge in my following Prague posts. By the way, I guess I will put together five separate posts - one for each day spent there.

Anyhow, before returning to our hotel we did some grocery shopping in Lidl and bought local potato salad for our late dinner, noted Czech beer too, of course! In Prague, beer is cheaper than bottled water. And Czech beer has been brewed (at least) since 993 AD: Benedictine monks brewed beer in the Břevnov Monastery but it is believed hops were grown in the region for the purposes of beer production as early as the first century. But more beer talk in my next posts! Meanwhile enjoy the photos and there will be considerably more of those since the next post.
By the way, how do you, ladies (of full age), feel about beer? Yay or nay?

I was wearing (the whole day): tunic - /thrifted/; waist-belt - Reserved; jeans - Guess Premium; flats - Jeffrey Campbell; jacket - Amisu; bag - Guess; sunnies - Prada.

  14. Ooh nice photos! That building looks interesting and bizarre, that twisted glass wall I mean heh ^^ Really lovely dress on you too.. looks great!

Thank you for the comments. :) It's so nice that there are similar minded people like you. Blogging for the interaction and communication etc, not for popularity of some sort. :) And it's always nice to build long relationships, even if they would be "just" via internet & on blogs! People like that, including you, feel just like friends. It's just slightly different kind ^^

About smoothies, if you don't buy juice then some sparkling (maybe flavoured) water could work? Heh, like I said I don't use any recipes so just have try out ^^
