Prague: day 3

Hello, it's already time to look back on our third day in Prague and to be exact the 30th of May was essentially dedicated to shopping. But not exclusively, so we started with sightseeing in Old Town (Czech: Staré Město), the medieval settlement of Prague. Via ritzy Pařížská Street we strolled towards Old Town Square where The Old Town Hall Tower proudly stands. It's a curious amalgamation of buildings in different architectural styles - its earliest elements date from the 14th century - and expanded as Prague grew in importance. The Town Hall was badly damaged in World War II and was rebuilt over many years. Its tower is 69,5 m high and worth the climb for splendid views.

Inside is a staircase and an elevator. Obviously we picked the spiral-like staircase to create some catchy memories. From the tower we saw for an example Church of Our Lady Before Týn. That church, known as The Týn church, was founded in the 14th century and became the most important church in Prague's Old Town. The church was completed in 1511 with the addition of the southern spire. Both spires measure 80 m.

And now briefly about shopping: my favourite shopping centre was Palladium, a multi-level shopping mall featuring over 200 shops, including well-known H&M, Topshop, Topman, The Body Shop, Clinique and so on. I purchased goods from Topshop, H&M and Lacoste but in this post you're only going to be able to steal a glance at my premier pair of Topshop Jazzhands glitter peep shoes in nude.

After the tiresome shopping we enjoyed delicious chicken with vegetables and heavenly cold Czech beer at Krok Zpět restaurant & pub. And then we walked in the middle of the vastly green and wild outdoor expositions of Botanical Garden of The Faculty of Science of the Charles University in Prague. The grounds of the Botanical garden contain around 5 000 plant species which have been imported from original central European localities since 1904, so they also represent a unique genofond collection.

In the end of the utterly tight day I rewarded myself with a yummy banana split. Though I shared my dessert with him, E. still needed that heavenly cold Czech beer of course.
Altogether I hope you like the wide-ranging sortment of photos and be sure to let me know what you think because I love hearing from all of you!

I was wearing: sunnies - Prada; white top - Guess Jeans; denim shirt - zoey m.; skirt - made by my grandmother; sandals - Tamaris.

ps. I'll be celebrating my b-day on the right day, the 14th of June with my colleagues and later,  on the 16th of June together with my family and relatives, so a lot of cooking and organizing will come my way starting from tonight!
