The best cure for an off day is a day off - Frank Tyger

Greetings! Those of you who have read (and I really appreciate you for taking the time and sharing your views) my The Last Stand review already know that I and E. had a classic movie date on the 26th of January. But our day off in cosy Tartu didn't begin with watching The Last Stand. In the first place we walked to the centre of the town from the railway station, had an extra strong and yummy breakfast at McDonald's and did some shopping.

For example E. bought us both a wildlife mouse from Trust. Mine is a snow leopard mouse and his is a snake mouse. Those are seriously the coolest mice I have ever seen and in addition I have a very warm relationship with leopard print so I and the snow leopard mouse were definitely meant to be. By the way, Trust also offers the crocodile mouse and the tiger mouse. You can see for yourself when you click here. But how cool is your mouse?

Anyway, I purchased some eatable things, something domestic and naturally a few clothing items that were simply too good to miss. Those golden pants from Orsay shop were such a bargain (34.95 9.95)! In fact everything inside that store was entirely 70% off that day and I just had to obtain my very first Orsay goodie. And how darling are those super cheap (two pairs 1.24) partially see-through socks that will certainly be my spring and summer favourites.

etcetera hat | Seppälä earrings | Guess by Marciano scarf | thrifted Reflex faux fur coat | New York Laundry (boohoo.com) sweater | thrifted H&M leggings | Valentino bag | Sempre winter boots.

But before I continue with our day in Tartu, a funny incident happened to me and my mom. You know that purple hat I purchased almost a month ago from Tallinn and am also wearing in current post? My mom hadn't seen it and still completely randomly bought herself the exact same thing about a week ago. How funny is this? I guess those purple etcetera hats simply run in the family. Still, what a coincidence!

Anyhow, after everything I already told you about we landed at café Kapriis that we previously visited in August 2012 (my post about it). Naturally my fiancé ordered the most expensive dish available (red wine beef steak) so I was the modest one in our little family and enjoyed the cheapest salad which was still tasty and filling. I just honestly believe there must be balance in life. And I would love to go back to Kapriis in order to taste the next salad from their menu.

Last but not least we saw a friend and his lively doggie Bosse and after a little chat we had to catch the train again. All in all it was a pleasant day full of much walking, delicious food, lightsome shopping and a lovely movie experience. I'm always in great need of such days to relax a little. And of course I hope you like my photos and those small collages I compiled.
Till next time, sweeties! :)

Thanks for publishing pics of Kalev chocolate, I love it, it's not available in the city we're in atm and I try to restrict eating sweets ;)
You look cute with braided hair and I love the faux fur coat. Those nails rule! I wanna try something similar :)

  8. I'm so uncool, I thought for a moment you were talking about real mice! (A snow leopard mouse does sound kind of awesome.)
I think that is too funny that your mom ended up buying the same hat as you, what are the chances of that? Good taste must run in the family, that hat looks so pretty on you! (Your new gold pants are pretty awesome as well, they're so shiny and I can't wait to see how you'll style them.) You have the prettiest hair, it looks so cute and lovely in the two braids like that!

  9. Sounds like a great day out! I LOVE that hat and the color is beautiful on you! Soooo funny that your mom bought the same exact hat! Yummy food too--looks so good! I also love those mice! Mine is plain but now I think I need to change and even the mouse can be fashionable! Great post, as usual!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. mina olen oma tuttavate seas märganud väga väheseid, kes hiirt üldse ei kasuta. need on enamasti inimesed, kes surfavad niisama kuskil Fesaris, loevad lehti, vastavad meilidele jne. aga näiteks ma ise küll ei kujutaks ette teatud programmidega mässamist ilma hiire abita. eriti, kui tegemist on väga täpsete joonistega, fotode lõikamisega jne. pisikese hiirepoisiga lihtsalt on mugav :)
kusjuures, ega need pildid mindki praegu külmaks jäta.. väike burks või mõnus salat töötavad peaaegu alati, olenevalt siis isu suurusest :P

      Delete
    2. ma olen selle pika aja jooksul ära harjunud ka erinevaid programme kasutama ilma, mis tundus algul tõesti tüütu, kuna mu esimesel läpakal oli keskel mingi totter muna ja see oli lihtsalt ebamugav (õnneks sellised on nüüdseks suht ajast ja arust, ikka normaalsed touchpadid eksisteerivad uutel arvutitel..). ehk touchpad peab mugav ka olema. aga kui ma oleksin sellise ameti peal, kus mul on vaja pidevalt tööd teha mitmete programmidega (a'la reklaamindus, veebidisan jne), siis oleks mul ilmselt selleks eraldi lauaarvuti, kuna see oleks võimsam selliste asjade jaoks ja esiteks laua taga, suure monitori ja hiirega on tõesti mugavam ja efektiivsem. aga mu jaoks on lihtsalt veider istuda diivanil, teha jumal teab mida oma läpakaga ja siis hiir kõrval kuskil põlve peal vms nühkimas - see ajab mind veits naerma :D ja loengus tõepoolest need niisama netist tsillijad oma juhtmetega. et noh, lihtsalt, kogu läpaka mugavuse mõte ongi see, et pole juhtmeid ega midagi, üks kast, mille küljes on kõik vajalik olemas. aga samas - who am I to judge :D

      Delete

I have a plain ugly one that came with the computer haha. Although i've always wanted a polka dot one! Ooo and your outfit is really cute, I especially love the cool hat. So awesome that your mom got the same one! And those gold pants are really cool, I wish there was an Orsay here.

  26. Semtimes style does run in the family - and if your pretty purple hat looks even half as good on your mom as it does on you, it's no wonder she bought it! It's just the perfect hat shape for you, I love it even more every time I see you wear it :) And those gold pants look pretty amazing, too! I'm always so impressed by the sales you manage to find, maybe we don't have such good sales in France or, more likely, I just don't know where to look :)
