Going Kenzo

So, guess who just scored her very first and highly significant and absolutely wonderful thrifted Kenzo item?
Yes, of course you're right. This girl here, obviously.
It's a gorgeous colourful loose cardigan with different floral patterns and it only cost me 5 modest euros. I could not believe my luck, especially after such a dreary, stressful and tough week. Thank you, my darling Kenzo knitwear, for making me happy again.. well, or at least making it possible for me to take a turn for the better.

But in addition to THE cardigan last week also produced me a thrifted Dorothy Perkins maxi dress from their Petite Collection. It was 3.50 euros and now I really have to finally style something "maxi" (I was actually kind of scouting around for a maxi skirt since the last time I owned one was in my teen years but hey, a maxi dress is as good as a skirt, if not even better and easier to combine too).
How do you get along with maxi dresses and skirts?

Anyhow, the majority of today's sunny photos originate from distant April 20 when I and my fiancé attended his paternal granddad's birthday party in Järvakandi (previous photo heavy Järvakandi posts from 2011 here and here and from 2012 here). E.'s dear grandfather turned 80 which is a very mighty number, isn't it? The food was delicious and our time there flew by incredibly quickly. By the way, our little trip also included some nature time and I came across my this spring's first hepaticas and coltsfeet. And I was pretty much tickled pink because it was finally pleasantly sunny and the flowers were blooming and... you know, after all that winter everything just screamed "spring!". Therefore I truly hope you enjoy today's photos as much as I enjoyed the proper beginning of spring. And of course tell me what you think :)
Happy spring, sweeties!

ps. Lõpetuseks veel üks väike eestikeelne pöördumine/abipalve...

Olen vahelduva eduga juba tükk aega juurelnud oma pisikese (ja kindlasti soodsa!) blogipoe avamise üle. Müüki tuleks kõiksugused vidinad minu oma garderoobist, seal hulgas second hand kraam (ka vintage), aga muidugi ainult korralik, mitte mingi topiline või kulunud jama, ning samuti põhimõtteliselt uued asjad, mida on võib-olla näiteks vaid paar korda kantud.
Niisiis, minu Eestis pesitsevad lugejad ja muud toredad tegelased, mida sellest mõttest arvate? Kas oleksite huvitatud sellisest tulevikurubriigist minu blogis?

  5. Wow! It's crazy how you sometimes find expensive stuff for practically free. My biggest bargain has been vintage YSL pumps for 3 euros... !? Too bad I seldom wear heels ;). I love that leather jacket btw. And your flower pics :)*

  14. Spring has obviously come to Estonia and it looks just wonderful - I'm blown away by how such vibrant, beautiful flowers grow out of ground that has been frozen for eight months. I grew up in a place that is just as cold as where you live, and still it never ceases to amaze me :) Speaking of amazing, I am in awe of your thrifting skills. A Kenzo sweater for 5 euros? I think I'm going to have to come for a visit, because thrifting in Paris does not compare... I finally got to my favourite vintage store and found a Levi's denim jacket, but the shop seems to have changed owners {and price points!} because they wanted 50 euros! I could have bought a new one for that much :P

  15. Lovely cardigan! I'm actually looking for a maxi dress right now. Before I thought they would look silly on me since I'm so short, but now I've found some that have translucent hems, so that might be the ones that will suit me.
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog! Please make sure to show off your balcony once it's ready!
It would be nice to see photos of your garden and barbeque house.
Our balcony is glazed, but one can open parts of it. I've already been sunbathing on it :)

I don't know whow I get along with maxi skirts... cause I am short, so I normally don't wear maxi skirts :( But would love to! So nice that you went to your boyfriend's granddad birthday! Yes, 80 is a powerful number and age! So nice! I loved your nails and your jacket looks great! You always look so gorgeous and also, so positive, I love that!

  19. Love your newest finds! Especially the Kenzo-cardi, such a vibrant and happy piece of clothing. I know it will look great on you, too! :)
I love maxis, but have only two skirts .. Also two thrifted dresses but the material turned out to be really "electric" on the other, other one is just for summer cottage / beach use. :) So thanks for inspiring me to get a new / thrifted maxi dress! ;)

  43. Ooooh, Kenzo stuff is nice! That's a pretty killer find and it's such a beautiful cardigan with the fit and the vibrant pattern and colors. Maxi dresses are so much fun, I use to wear them a bunch as a teenager as well and then sort of wrote them off as dowdy as a young adult. (Heh and now I'm all about them. Its funny how that goes around like that.)

I just love your outdoor photos so much! It looks like it's really starting to get green over there and I love the photo of the flower just starting to bloom, it's really a beautiful shot. Your outfit is so lovely as well, I love how practical it is with your surroundings and the jacket is just killer!
