In a tidal wave of mystery...

Hello again, guys! Have you heard the song "Safe and Sound" by the American indie pop/rock duo Capital Cities? I'm pretty sure you all have but if you (miraculously) still haven't, do it here right away because it's one brilliant piece of work, isn't it? They slightly reminded me of the Australian duo Empire of the Sun at first when I didn't even know their band name yet. And I believed they actually were those guys before I not long ago came across "Safe and Sound" music video and finally got the song for myself. Well and now I just love the song and the fact how carefree and upbeat it is, and it also inspired the title of today's post, obviously. By the way, what is your current favourite song? I would love to check it out!

Anyhow. I promised to tell you a little about October 12 when I and my parents did some shopping in Tallinn. I also said I didn't buy much but I still did come across a few exciting things that you can see from the following three collages:
1 - Heavenly delicious Lemon sorbet scented soywax candle from JOIK (5.40€) and a set of 2 cute little dessert ramekins (3.80€) I had been looking for since... September actually.
2 - Guess quilted leather gloves (66.50€) bought for me by my generous mom. And then there is this tiny Fiorelli bag... which I actually found from a local thrift store for ridiculous 2€ and decided I should give clutch-like bags a chance.

3 - Cynos Silvertree Argan oil Thairapy bouncy curl cream (280 ml 9.40€) + a mini size (10 ml) Morocco argan oil as a free gift. Haven't tried the oil yet but I have been using the curl cream for two weeks now and I'm genuinely pleased with it (and this IS a rare case when it comes to my moody hair). It smells nice, detangles my wet hair like a pro (hallelujah!) and leaves the hair nicely manageable. It's so easy to comb my hair after washing it when I have applied this product! So, all the ladies with curly, wavy or textured hair, I definitely recommend it to you.

So, I hope you like today's autumn coloured photos because lately the presence of whatsoever sunlight has been way too rare here in Estonia and this fact has been stopping me from taking (Latvian, Oriflame, thrift store and some more) haul photos for the blog. But I will probably still tell you about a road trip to Latvia in my next post, so beware and see you next time!

I have heard the argan oil products are awesome, haven't seen the shampoo being sold around here tho ;0
About music, this is a pretty old song but for some reason I listen to this a lot every autumn, including now : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wzVMDDfa5A

    2. I think they have shampoos too, so no worries ;) and I'm pretty sure they sell those products in Finland when they even sell their stuff in my country (usually my country gets nothing when it comes to great products or brands, haha).
anyway, I listened to the song and it reminds me of something I used to listen years ago. for example I loved P.O.D. and listened to it every time I walked home from university. hey and I even understood a little something from this song! :D

And I love the accessories you paired it with, the dog necklace and earrings are such fun, quirky pieces :) My favourite song of the moment is Hero by Family of the Year - it's definitely worth listening to.

And of course I've heard of that song, that song's been everywhere, hasn't it??:D I like the melody - who doesn't want to hear something cheerful and upbeat?:) But my current favorite is anything by Rihanna. I don't know what it is, but her music is just intoxicating. Pour It Up is on constant replay on my mp3 at the moment.:)

  26. Oh, I've missed your blog very much! I totally love that bright, patterned cardigan and that cute oversize bag! That song is such a great pump up song as well. My favorite songs are always Sara Bareilles, but I've also been listening to some Michael Buble. They're both great!

You seriously have the best hauls. I'm most interested in that candle though--what a great deal! I recently made my own candle at the candle lab and it was very expensive, but totally worth it. I try to burn it every day now haha.

Oh, and your necklace is totally precious. That earring is too cool too. I want to get my ears pierced sometime soon, so I love looking at the stylish earrings.

The lighting in the photo of your dog is perfect. And your dog is always adorable too!

  27. That's a great song, I like it too! Thanks for sharing! I like the candle you've purchased, weren't those originally from Jõgeva? My favorite songs right now must be of Swedish Veronica Maggio, for example Sergels Torg.
Thanks for stopping by my blog Maiken! You should definitely visit Frida Marina when you're here the next time, they decorate the second hand store so nicely!
